FF : Mourne Seafood Bar
July 28, 2017
Mourne Seafood Bar has two locations in Ireland, both in Dundrum and in Belfast. Its restaurant owners pride themselves in their menu that features fresh seafood ingredients. The shellfish on the menu actually originates from the restaurant’s own shellfish beds in Ballyedmond, and the rest of the seafood is bought locally. Because of the freshness of the ingredients, the daily specials vary often.
If you choose to dine at Mourne Seafood Bar, it is highly recommended to order some oysters, or even an entire seafood platter filled with mussels, oysters, cockles, and langoustines. One of Mourne’s delicacies is its crab and chorizo risotto for a modest price of 8 pounds! Since it is a seafood restaurant, ocean lovers could really indulge themselves for an affordable dinner, however land lovers can still order Irish raised chicken or sirloin.
Don’t forget that since you’re in Ireland, you should drink like the Irish do! Mourne Seafood Bar serves a variety of cocktails, but also sells countless Irish beers and whiskeys to accompany your lunch or dinner.
Head over to Mourne Seafood Bar if you’re looking for a casual seafood dining experience near Belfast. You may get friendly with your neighbors because of the restaurant’s cozy atmosphere, but the food is worth it!
Why do people go there? For quality seafood sourced locally and directly from the restaurant’s shellfish beds.
