Located at the top of the Shanghai Tang Mansion in Central, Duddles is a chic and contemporary restaurant spread across two floors. The lower floor is home to the restaurant and a small art gallery, adding to the stylish ambience, while a beautiful garden terrace and the cocktail bar are located on the upper floor. With its hanging lights and abundance of leafy plants, the terrace is the perfect place for a romantic evening drink. The interiors of both floors were designed by British designer, Isle Crawford, who had the vision of the space as a place for artists to mingle and share ideas. Because of this, Duddles has a very trendy and intimate ambience.
The menu is a fusion of classic Cantonese dishes and new inventions and adventurous flavour combinations created by the talented head chef, Siu Hin-chi. At lunchtime, there is a dim sum menu, which includes classics such as seafood dumplings, pork buns and noodle dishes. However, local favourites include the fried fresh lobster and the prawns “two ways” (deep fried and sautéed) from the à la Carte menu. Unlike most Cantonese restaurants, Duddell’s also excels at desserts. Try the sesame lotus and seed balls or the caramel baked sago pudding to really treat your taste buds!
